The Helen Macpherson Smith Genealogy is essentially a self-service area where genealogists can undertake their own family history research, this room contains a wide range of materials on microfilm, microfiche and CD-ROM as well as a number of genealogy-related books and journals for reading and browsing. Genealogy can be visited during standard Library opening hours. One of four bluestone-walled enclosed courtyards, the entrance to Genealogy is on the ground floor just off the Information Centre.
