The first publican of the Builder’s Arms was Alexander Body in 1872. The funeral of Benjamin Body, formerly of Hokitika Hotel, took place from his residence at the Builder’s Arms, which was formerly at 49 Boundary Street.  The Builder’s Arms was closed in 1893. In 2003, it is Ralph’s Meat Company.
